Justice Sectretary 'Sceptical' of police
There could be a glimmer of hope that at least someone in authority is a little bit aware of the problem with police forces.
Police have grizzled & bleated about comments by Justice Secretary Jack Straw who said he was "sceptical" when officers claimed they were overworked or spent hours filling in forms.
Mr Straw told the BBC some police officers enjoyed being in the station "in the warm" while others finished forms quicker "because they want to get out and catch criminals".
The justice secretary said it was often due to leadership in different forces.
We would suggest given the experience of some gay people of policing in the SouthWest during the 1990’s and the abysmal leadership crisis caused by Devon & Cornwall Constabulary Chief Constable Maria Wallace, then the victimisation of Gay Men in Cornwall under acting Chief Constable Nigel Arnold…followed by the blind-eye practises of Chief Constable Stephen Otter since then, who just looks the other way over homophobic attitudes & practise of his Cornwall police officers, it seems that Mr Straw’s comments were justified. Not forgetting the public execution style killing of Mr Charles De Menezes & the beating to the ground of G20 police victim Ian Tomlinson who died.
Police groups said Mr Straws comments were "irresponsible and inflammatory" and "not constructive", they’d rather such things we covered up seemingly
Mr Straw, who was home secretary between 1997 and 2001, was asked about "overworked" police forces asking people to register minor crimes online.
He told BBC Radio 4's Today programme: "I'm afraid I'm rather sceptical about the excuse that a public service, in this case the police, is overworked and therefore can't change.
"With a given level of resources, some police forces, or some parts of police forces do very much better than others.
"And it is the ones who are the less efficient and who have the wrong approach to the public who fall back on this 'Oh, I'm overworked' [argument]."
He is reported as having said while some officers would claim it took four hours to fill in forms, "good police officers will take an hour to fill in the same forms because they want to get out and catch criminals".
He added: "Some police officers, whatever they say, actually quite enjoy being in the police station in the warm. We are dealing with human beings, but we are also dealing with the kind of discipline and culture in the police service."
Police simply are not that honest and dislike the truth
Around the country, while some police forces were "up for it, getting crime down and really motoring" neighbouring forces had still "not got it together", he said.
"It is not about money, it is about leadership, organisation and culture."
His remarks were criticised by groups representing both rank-and-file officers and police chiefs.
Simon Reed, vice-chairman of the Police Federation of England and Wales, described them as "irresponsible and inflammatory". And Association of Chief Police Officers (Acpo) president Sir Hugh Orde said the "overwhelming majority" of police officers went to work to do a good job and keep the public safe.
President Sir Hugh Orde is obviously ignorant of the conduct of a great many Devon & Cornwall police officers and the 1,200+ complaints About Devon & Cornwall Constabulary from the public in 2008 alone.
A Conservative Party spokesman said ministers were "utterly out of touch with what is really happening in policing".
"They heap more and more bureaucracy onto our police, leaving them filling in form after form, often with the same information on it, and then pretend that nothing is wrong," he said.
Demonstrating that the Conservative Party is oblivious to the rising concerns of the public of dishonesty, racism & homophobia still protected within the police force by senior officers, just like Chief Constable Stephen Otter, who is the insulting joke ACPO lead on ‘Equality & Diversity’ for some veteran gay equality campaigners
And for the Liberal Democrats, Chris Huhne said: "It is a cheap shot to blame individual police officers for the failings of their forces.
"Police forces vary enormously in their effectiveness even though they face the same unnecessary bureaucracy, and the way to improve laggard forces is through strong local accountability with elected police authorities."
This coming from a party where a local Lib Dem Mp Andrew George was to busy ‘adjusting’ his expense claims rather than assist a homeless 15yr old gay youth constituent who wrote pleading to him for help as he was being abused by Cornwall police officers & Cornwall Social Services. Although Cornwall’s Children’s services have now subsequently been widely condemned in an Ofsted report forcing the resignation of the Cornwall Authority official Dean Ashton, who refused to assist the gay youth & instead added to the abuse & misery of gay people subjected to Cornwall Authority Institutional Homophobia.
However, abuse and subversion of evidence carried out by named Cornwall police officers remains corruptly un-investigated. That is the sickening benchmark of homophobic policing in Cornwall.
Mr Straw might like to look at the situation in Cornwall. I genuinely suggest that police try for a change, a little honesty, with integrity by investigating properly the publics reported concerns about named & identified police homophobic conduct attitudes practises & corruption in Cornwall instead of brushing it under the carpet as they have, because the homophobic attitude & practises of Devon & Cornwall Constabulary stinks rotten!
As far as the Pink Pasty is concerned it would seem we ‘do’ have a Justice Minister who does have a genuine glimmering of a grasp of the problem of negative attitudes within the police forces and police who fail the British public without any accountability.
We should remember the IPCC completely useless and ineffectual sucking up to the police. It took Boris, the new conservative major of London to get rid of the Met Chief Constable responsible for the obscene debacle over police trying to cover up the execution of Charles de Menezes on a tube train.

THE percentage of convictions for hate crime in the Westcountry has risen, according to figures released by the Crown Prosecution Service.
The report covering 2008/09 details the number of successful convictions for attacks motivated by racism, religious bigotry, homophobia and dislike of a disability.
Figures for the previous period 2007/08 also included convictions for domestic violence, which stopped being classed as a hate crime by the CPS in April 2008.
By not including domestic violence numbers in the 2008/09 report, figures now show the number of prosecutions brought before the courts for hate crimes to be falling, although percentages for conviction are going up.
Overall hate crime prosecutions in 2008/09 in Devon and Cornwall totaled 139 - 106 (76.3 per cent) were successful, 33 (23.7 per cent) failed.
In 2007/08, there were 1,443 court cases – 998 (69.2 per cent) successful, 445 (30.8 per cent) failing. Hate crime breaks down into three categories – racial and religious, homophobic and disability.
Homophobic cases in Devon and Cornwall in 2008/09 totaled 15 prosecutions – 14 (93.3 per cent) were won while one (6.7 per cent) was lost.
If the known & reported homophobic incidents involving Cornwall police officers who had committed & contributed to abuses against gay people had been included, this conviction figure would more than have doubled. Homophobic Cornwall police are bullet proof & above the law
2007/08 showed 33 prosecutions – 27 (81.8 per cent) won and six (18.2 per cent) were lost.
Figures show a drop of 55 per cent – or 18 – fewer cases brought.
Tracy Easton, chief Crown prosecutor for Devon and Cornwall, said: "This report shows how seriously we take all types of hate crimes.
"Being targeted because of your race, religion, sexuality or disability is a profoundly isolating experience and one we will prosecute wherever possible.
"We are doing a lot of really good work – particularly at a local level with the Hate Crime Scrutiny Panels, but there is still more to do, such as improving our service to victims and witnesses to increase their confidence in the system and to ensure our communities feel properly protected."

It took Ofsted to eventually condemn Cornwall’s Children’s Services in a damning report in 2009. This forced the resignation of Dean Ashton, head of Cornwall Social Services (a homophobe known to Mr Lidbury). Mr Ashton had point blank refused to assist a homeless 15yr old gay youth living rough on the streets of Helston to the knowledge & failure of ‘duty of care’ of multiple agencies in Cornwall in 2005.

There were four known Gay Male suicides in Cornwall in 2008 and several other attempted suicides, some with identified direct Cornwall police involvement. The Coroner at the inquest of one Cornwall Gay suicide in Nov 2009 has instructed there should be an urgent review of Cornwall services.
Mr Lidbury does not suggest anyone holding their breath at a positive outcome.

Following FOUR (known) gay male suicides in Cornwall, UK in 2008 and a Coroners inquest of one of them in Nov 2009, the Coroner instructing an urgent revue of Cornwall (UK) services (The Cornwall Police had direct involvement having arrested the gay man shortly before he killed himself, despite family & friends previously warning Cornwall police of the gay victims mental instability). Even after he had killed himself Cornwall police wrote to his x-partner threatening to prosecute the deceased dead man.
Not that the Chair of Cornwall Pride is the slightest bit interested in continued homophobic institutional abuses & hate crimes in Cornwall having banned gay activists & campaigners from the Pride facebook page & personally told me to shut up about KNOWN Cornwall police abuses of gay person. Might affect his profits I guess?
Shhhh, I must not mention the homophobic incident at the Lizard football club involving Cornwall police officers...it's hush-hush and being kept a secret by PC Cannon who one must assume is covering for his homophobic plod mates AGAIN!
At another inquest of another Cornish gay male suicide victim in 2008, witnesses stated ‘homophobia’ in Cornwall (UK) was a driving cause of the gay man taking his life. Veteran gay equality campaigners who have not sucked up to the local police, have identified Cornwall police as being the NUMBER ONE primary HOMOPHOBIC HATE CRIME problem in Cornwall.
Not even the Cornwall GPA gay police officers are to be trusted, as Cornish gay men have found out to their cost. Gay men threatened by Cornwall diversity officers to ‘shut up & keep quiet’ about police homophobic abuses & criminality.
The authorities in Cornwall have a long and disgusting history of institutional homophobia, (Police using unlawful entrapment techniques contrary to Home Office guidelines as condemned by Mathew Taylor Mp & Peter Tatchell Human Rights Campaigner) in particular the vile & loathsome deeply HOMOPHOBIC Devon & Cornwall Constabulary.
This video highlights some of the other victims of Cornwall police gross homophobic attitudes & practises since 2004...on going, corruptly covered up by senior police officers of Devon & Cornwall Constabulary. This includes Chief Constable Otter (once accused by one of his own senior commanders of 'Otter' being RACIST). Mr Otter, who REFUSES to address or acknowledge complaints of homophobia carried out by named & identified Cornwall police officers. The real irony is Chief Constable Otter is the hilarious & laughable ACPO piss take on ‘Equality & Diversity’ for all the British police forces. A freedom of information Act request established there were over 1,200 official complaints made by members of the public against Devon & Cornwall Constabulary in 2008. 25% of these were still un-investigated (ignored) in 2009. How many other people were intimidated into silence by Cornwall police is unknown. The IPCC were only aware of just over 900 complaints, but then the IPCC is a sycophantic brown nosing organisation I personally and factually know to my own cost which cover up police abuses & criminality. Many of the public have probably realised this following the tube train police public execution of Charles De Menezes, and the police G20 killing of Ian Tomlinson.
How Police KILL Gay Men…is in effect a training video reflecting the homophobic culture which thrives protected within and under Chief Constable OTTER’S command of the Devon & Cornwall police force.

Following FOUR (known) gay male suicides in Cornwall, UK in 2008 and a Coroners inquest of one of them in Nov 2009, the Coroner instructing an urgent revue of Cornwall (UK) services (The Cornwall Police had direct involvement having arrested the gay man shortly before he killed himself, despite family & friends previously warning Cornwall police of the gay victims mental instability). Even after he had killed himself Cornwall police wrote to his x-partner threatening to prosecute the deceased dead man.
Not that the Chair of Cornwall Pride is the slightest bit interested in continued homophobic institutional abuses & hate crimes in Cornwall having banned gay activists & campaigners from the Pride facebook page & personally told me to shut up about KNOWN Cornwall police abuses of gay person. Might affect his profits I guess?
Shhhh, I must not mention the homophobic incident at the Lizard football club involving Cornwall police officers...it's hush-hush and being kept a secret by PC Cannon who one must assume is covering for his homophobic plod mates AGAIN!
At another inquest of another Cornish gay male suicide victim in 2008, witnesses stated ‘homophobia’ in Cornwall (UK) was a driving cause of the gay man taking his life. Veteran gay equality campaigners who have not sucked up to the local police, have identified Cornwall police as being the NUMBER ONE primary HOMOPHOBIC HATE CRIME problem in Cornwall.
Not even the Cornwall GPA gay police officers are to be trusted, as Cornish gay men have found out to their cost. Gay men threatened by Cornwall diversity officers to ‘shut up & keep quiet’ about police homophobic abuses & criminality.
The authorities in Cornwall have a long and disgusting history of institutional homophobia, (Police using unlawful entrapment techniques contrary to Home Office guidelines as condemned by Mathew Taylor Mp & Peter Tatchell Human Rights Campaigner) in particular the vile & loathsome deeply HOMOPHOBIC Devon & Cornwall Constabulary.
This video highlights some of the other victims of Cornwall police gross homophobic attitudes & practises since 2004...on going, corruptly covered up by senior police officers of Devon & Cornwall Constabulary. This includes Chief Constable Otter (once accused by one of his own senior commanders of 'Otter' being RACIST). A freedom of information Act request established there were over 1,200 official complaints made by members of the public against Devon & Cornwall Constabulary in 2008. 25% of these were still un-investigated (ignored) in 2009. How many other people were intimidated into silence by Cornwall police is unknown. The IPCC were only aware of just over 900 complaints, but then the IPCC is a sycophantic brown nosing organisation I personally and factually know to my own cost which cover up police abuses & criminality. Many of the public have probably realised this following the tube train police public execution of Charles De Menezes, and the police G20 killing of Ian Tomlinson.

Emergency Brain Surgery on man whilst held in Devon & Cornwall police custody
A DESPERATE search is underway to find the family or friends of a man left fighting for his life in hospital after collapsing while in police custody on Christmas Day.
Police say the man was rushed to Derriford Hospital at around 7.30pm after falling ill shortly after he was arrested. (Funny that? I know a police officer from newquay in one of his blogs once made reference to giving a prisoner a good 'shoeing' whilst in the nick. Another term is 'PUTTING THE BOOT IN')
The victim had been detained for breaching the peace after officers became concerned for his welfare (Erm, Yea, right & we are supposed to beleive that?)when they spotted him acting irrationally near a busy roundabout.
But after he was assessed by medical staff at Charles Cross Police Station he was rushed to hospital with an unexplained head condition..funny that, call me cynical....but after being taken into police custody, suddenly has a severe head injury? hmmmmm.
Since last night the man has undergone two emergency operations to his head after it was found he was suffering from swelling to the brain.
His condition in intensive care is described as critical but stable.
The identity of the man is not yet known but police are desperate to trace his family, or anyone who may know who he is. (No doubt so they can should they need too, begin the cover up process...Charles De Menezes, Ian Tomlinson, etc. etc)
The victim is described as being a white male, possibly of Eastern European origin, and aged between 40 and 55 years old. (Given the Neo-Nazi like BNP attitudes of Devon & Cornwall Constabulary officers I can personally name towards gay persons...the Nazi were not that keen on Poles if I remember my history...and lets face it Homophobia & Racisim usually go 'hand in glove' with the police misconduct)
The victim is five feet nine inches tall, of a medium or slim build and has dark brown collar-length hair which is beginning to go grey.
When he was arrested, he was wearing three-quarter length blue jeans, a red round-neck t-shirt, dark brown shoes and a large camel-coloured jacket.
Detective Inspector Nick West, who is leading the investigation – codenamed Operation Hunter – said the mystery man was first spotted by a routine police patrol just before 5.20pm on Christmas Day.
Officers saw him acting suspiciously on a footpath near to the Derriford Roundabout and decided to keep and eye on him, DI West said.
They soon caught him trying to get into cars that had stopped at traffic lights, so arrested him for breach of the peace.
The man, who found it difficult to communicate with officers due to the language barrier and his state of mind, was taken to Charles Cross Police Station just after 5.30pm.
He was seen by force medical staff and reassessed within two hours of his arrest, DI West said, before an ambulance was called in.
He then had two emergency brain operations – one to either side of his head – during which surgeons removed part of his skull in a bid to ease the brain’s swelling.
DI West said it was imperative that the man’s identity and family were found as soon as possible.
He added: “He had keys on him when we found him but no form of identification, or any other clues.
“The language barrier was a difficulty initially and then his condition deteriorated very quickly so we were unable to communicate with him.
“But somewhere this man will have a family, friends, or other people who care for him.
“He is quite distinctive in his clothing and people will have seen him acting suspiciously at the roundabout.
“I urge them to get in touch.”
Devon and Cornwall Constabulary has confirmed that the matter has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC). (Excuse me whilst I laugh, as that bunch of IPCC brown nosing, police sycophants will do diddly squat shit even if police had publicly executed the bloke on a crowded tube train, opps, sorry IPCC already ignored that one, it took Boris, the Conservative new Major of London to get rid of the Met Chief Constable responsible for that police public execution of an inocent man, abuse & pack of police blatant lies which followed)
The IPCC will be 'supervising' (police speak: for 'brushing under the carpet') police inquiries into the incident “as a matter of course”, a spokesman said. Which I know in my personal factual experience of the IPCC means they will do everything possible to help COVER UP any police misconduct, criminality or abuse...EXACTLY as they have done previously with other Devon & Cornwall Constabulary police officers named in this blog for factual criminality, dishonesty, homophobia & misconduct.

Christmas Plymouth Homophobic Attack in Plymouth
Homophobic Christmas Attack upon women in Plymouth
Pink News is reporting:-
Two young women were injured in Plymouth when they were attacked outside a bar.
The pair, one in her teens and one in her early 20s, told police they were attacked by a group of men outside Goodbody's cafe and bar at around 3.15am on Monday morning 21st December.
They had been in the popular Mutley bar with a group of friends when the men allegedly started making homophobic remarks and gestures at them.
After a row, the men left to get in a silver taxi but called the women over to the car and before a fight broke out.
The women told police they were then attacked. One reported being punched in the face while the other said she was knocked to the ground and her head was kicked.
As the men ran off, the women called for medical help. One was treated at the scene.
PC Ryan Northmore, who is investigating, told the Plymouth Herald they were "lucky" to avoided more serious injury.
Three men aged between 30 and 33 were arrested nearby on suspicion of assault just after the attack was reported.
They were interviewed and released on bail pending further enquiries.
In my experience (Flora Day 2006) Devon & Cornwall police will have rushed to the scene, assisted the homophobic assailants to leave, then threatened the gay victims with prosecution…or perhaps that’s just how homophobic scum police officers from Helston police station conduct themselves!
Either way, this gay person has NO DOUBT, given my factual knowledge of Devon & Cornwall Constabulary hostile & homophobic attitudes towards gay hate crime that there will be Devon & Cornwall police who will wish to CONGRATULATE the assailants of the two women

Shaun Sawyer, currently a commander with London's Metropolitan Police.
His previous roles have included head of violent crime and head of covert operations and intelligence. He also led the Met's response to the Ladbroke Grove rail disaster and the murder of Suzy Lamplugh.

Chief Constable Stephen Otter is reported as having said : "Shaun Sawyer he has built a very strong reputation as a dynamic and capable senior leader.
"I am sure he will continue with that positive leadership over the coming years, in helping us to deliver our main priorities of increasing public confidence and satisfaction in the policing service we provide."
Given the over 1,200 public complaints were made against Devon & Cornwall Constabulary in 2008, it is quite clear that Chief Constable Otter’s ‘spin & mirrors’ (I would say blatant ‘lies’) regarding satisfaction in the policing service is NOT working.
Cdr Sawyer said: "I'm greatly looking forward to the spring when I take up the position in policing what is a fantastic part of the country.
"I'm already aware that Devon and Cornwall remains one of the safest places in the country and I'm committed to continue making people feel safe in their communities."
However, that said, it is the police and continuing homophobic neo-nazi like attitudes of police like those named in this blog, who continue to reinforce & spread fear, a lack of confidence in what is still a DEEPLTY anti-gay police force under the command of Chief Constable Otter. I know gay people who live IN FEAR of the Cornwall police for their homophobic police conduct. Let us not forget the Cornwall police contribution to gay suicides & attempted suicides through there anti-gay policing practice
Whilst there has been mush propaganda by police forces across the UK about making homophobic hate crime easier to report, reality is each year in the UK there are hundreds, if not thousands of homophobic hate crimes that go unreported. Those victims who do report homophobic incidents (in particular those involving named & identifiable police officers) are ignored by the likes of Chief Constable Steven Otter’s Devon & Cornwall Constabulary.
This year five stories did hit the mainstream bringing to the public attention of both the UK and the world that homophobia isn’t something that can be brushed as easily under the carpet despite every effort of organizations like (spits on floor*) the loathsome Intercom Trust in Devon, who COMPOUND the trauma & victimization of gay victims of institutional homophobia.
1. The murder of Ian Baynham
Ian Baynham, 62, was out celebrating a new job when he was murdered for doing something that many of us would consider doing – standing up to homophobic abuse being screamed at him by a teenager girl.
Attacked outside the South African High Commission in Trafalgar Square, Baynham was punched and kicked to death by two teenage girls and a boy.
Three teenagers have since been arrested for the murder.
In Cornwall, given the caliber of police I have personally encountered. Cornish police would have CONGRATULATED the teenagers, at least some of the Cornish coppers who go to the Lizard football club would!
2. The Homophobic Gang Attack on James Parkes
Trainee policeman James Parkes, 22, was attacked in October by a gang of up to 20 youths after a night out in Liverpool’s gay village.
The gang, that was made up of teenagers, began by shouting homophobic abuse at Parkes, who was with his friends and partner, before then launching an attack on him that saw James receive multiple fractures to both his skull and cheek bones.
Hospitalised by his injuries, Parkes is now recovering from his injuries, and should return to work after Christmas, but will fail to graduate because of the time that he has had to have off to recover.
Since the attack, thirteen boys between the ages of 13 and 17 have been arrested by the police before being bailed in connection with the attack.
I still fail to understand ‘WHY’ any gay person would wish to join such a racist, prejudicial & homophobic organization such as are the British police, but then I only have my experience of numerous anti-gay Cornwall police to measure against
…that and the Stonewall statistics on increasing Hate Crime against gay people.
3. The Homophobic Attack on Chris Bevan And Murder Of Gerald Edwards
David Kilcullen, 46, from Bromley was charged in December with murdering one man, and attempting to murder another in their Bromley home. Investigated as a homophobic attack, the crime saw Gerald Edwards, 59, killed in the knife attack whilst his partner, Chris Bevan, 57, survived.
Peter Wright QC, said Kilcullen, went to the flat armed with a knife, had “intended to kill” following a previous visit when it had appeared obvious he was not comfortable with Bevan and Edwards being a couple.
Kilcullen was sentenced to at least 32 years in jail.
4. British Honorary Consul John Terry Murdered In Jamaica
John Terry, the Honorary Consul for the British High Commission in Jamaica was found dead in his bed in September with a cord and piece of clothing tied around his neck. Having suffered severe head injuries, Terry was also found with a handwritten note on his body that called him a “batty man” which is Jamaican slang for a homosexual.
Awarded the MBE for services to tourism in 1992, Terry had previously been married, but friends have been reported as saying Terry was part of a group of white older men who liked to have younger black boyfriends and that he had been seen recently in the company of another man.
So poor is the policing attitude in Jamaica towards gay people, one has to suspect there is a police trainee exchange system on going between Jamaica & Devon & Cornwall Constabulary
5. The Homophobic Hate Crime Raids In Lambeth
Whilst most of the reporting in the UK press of homophobic hate crimes this year has been directed at the crimes themselves, there was one story that hit the headlines this year for far more positive reasons – dawn raids that took place in Lambeth as a proactive measure in combating homophobic, racist and disability hate crimes, as well as violence against women.
Arresting eight people across 17 addresses for offences including ABH, harassment and common assault, these raids were focused on not only arresting the offenders, but also to send out a message that the police were not willing to allow hate crimes to go unnoticed within the borough.
The applaud able and commendable Lambeth reaction is in complete contrast to that in Cornwall, where, despite volumes of information having been given to the police about homophobic attitudes & practices, incitement to hate crime carried out by NAMED & IDENTIFIABLE Cornwall police officers (see below) nothing is done, that is apart from intimidation of gay victims of crime…by the neo-Nazi, BNP loving Devon & Cornwall Constabulary
Devon & Cornwall Constabulary new Deputy Chief Constable Shaun Sawyer, will have a lot to do, assuming an ‘honest’ copper has been imported?
…not least hopefully to tackle the corruption & protectionism within Devon & Cornwall Constabulary which protects & nurtures homophobic attitudes & practices of Cornwall’s despicable & untrustworthy police force.

I originally drew the cartoons featured in the video, way back in the early 1990's for the Cornish LGBT newsletter the ICT (Independent Cornish Triangle) of which I was editor. The ICT at it's high point had a local readership of over 1,000 people.
I had to give up my role as ICT editor when Andy (my then partner) became seriously ill & went blind as a result of AIDS. All the vile Cornish police did when our house was attacked with petrol, bottles & graffiti ...was the police put the boot in some more...as well.
...the neo-nazi, BNP in uniform, homophobic Cornwall police, that was then in 1994...and NOTHING has changed since in police homophobic attitudes & practises in Cornwall as I know to my cost since they began their homophobic vendetta against me personally in 2004.
Back in the 1990's there was a real sense within the LGBT community & gay groups that political change could be achieved against institutional homophobia.
...now those same homophobic institutions, like the police, are effectively running & controlling gay groups, at the exclusion & ostracisation of gay people who still dissent,(or are old enough to know & remember the catalogue history of police abuses locally of gay persons by police),lol.
A case in point: Cornwall's LGBT PACT (effectively run by the Cornwall police, but continues to ignore reported homophobic conduct, attitudes & practise of known & identified homophobic Cornwall police officers).

This video is based upon the findings of STONEWALL, the gay equality group in the UK. The survey was conducted by You.Gov.
This video was made specifically as a response to personal factual experience of homophobic motivated abuse, intimidation & trauma as viciously carried out by the loathsome & vile homophobic members of the Devon & Cornwall Constabulary named below.
Since these STONEWALL statistics were published nearly every police force in the UK has suddenly reported significant INCREASES in HATE CRIME against gay persons.
However, that does NOT mean the police are proactively doing more...Devon & Cornwall Constabulary continue to ignore homophobic conduct of police officers reported through their website to CIOS Diversity. Unfortunately, Devon & Cornwall Constabulary CIOS Diversity have chosen to ignore numerous reports on homophobic practises of police officers in Cornwall.
Unfortunately, despite regular reporting of homophobic abuses carried out by Cornwall police officers, Chief Constable Seven Otter, continues to turn a blind eye to the homophobic motivated practises of police officers named & identified here.

The worst & most abusive Gay & HIV AIDS prejudice came from Cornwall Social Services, Cornwall County Council, Kerrier District Council & the VILE Cornwall Police!
That was in the 1990's...but little has changed today in 2009, as Devon & Cornwall police still protect homophobic attitudes and practises of Cornwall police officers...SCUM!
Many gays seem to have forgotten that PRIDE was a Protest & Stonewall was a Riot against homophobic police abuse! Nothing has truly changed within policing attitudes against gay people!

At least homophobes like Nigel Druce, former head of Cornwall Social Services is not there anymore, thank ANY God!. Likewise Dean Ashton, head of Children's Services, who was forced to step down in 2009, having ignored homophobic abuse of a homeless youth in Cornwall.
