Homophobic Attack in Cornwall April 2009

Homophobic Attack in Cornwall

(Smashed windscreen & side window following Cornwall Homophobic Attack)

Our household was subjected to yet ANOTHER HOMOPHOBIC attack on Friday 17th April.

Two rocks used to smash both the windscreen & side window of one of my vehicles parked on my own property. Myself & a tenant in our property only missed the attackers in seconds as they fled in a vehicle.

This is not the 1st incident, but follows in a long line of Homophobic incidents against this household, initially started by the corrupt & deeply HOMOPHOBIC Devon & Cornwall Constabulary back in 2004 targeting me as a gay man.

Did we report this latest incident to the police?

Yes, within 2 minutes of the incident and to be fair police DID respond pretty damn quickly, but not a lot they can do.

The problem we have, is that it is JUST as likely to be Cornwall police officers who have actually carried out this homophobic attack in the 1st place, given our knowledge of the corrupt nature of so many Cornwall police officers (in particular from Camborne & Helston) who have contributed to repeated homophobic abuses & practises over recent years.

Did we report this latest occurrence as a Homophobic incident…YES!
Have we heard from the Diversity Officer (who we named & insisted to the attending officers that the incident be reported too)…NOT A WORD!!!

But then he IGNORES every incident we report which has a reflection upon his homophobic mates in the Cornwall plod (but then so does his boss Chief Constable Steven Otter).
It is not just in London that police lie & cover up for their colleagues (Charles De Menezes killing & now the G20 incidents). Police abuses of power are a DAILY occurrence in the UK

So, what is the out come. One smashed up vehicle. Police powerless to do anything about it & a Cornwall Diversity Officer who does not give a shit!

Who do the residents in or property blame for this latest attack incident & ALL the other preceding incidents targeting members of this household….THE CORRUPT & HOMOPHOBIC DEVON & CORNWALL CONSTABULARY, who since 2004 have initiated, conducted & encouraged by their police numerous homophobic attitudes & practises, the continuation of abuses directed at myself & other members of the household.

As long as Chief Constable Steven Otter continues to protect those Cornwall police officers we can name & identify responsible for the catalogue of abuses since 2004, then we envisage we will continue to be homophobically abused, persecuted & violated.

Gay HIV levels of infection & police attitudes in Cornwall

(St. Ives in Cornwall, a small town HIV hotspot in 2006)

HIV rates in gay men still at high levels
From Pink News By Jessica Geen • March 27, 2009 - 10:22

Around 7,370 new HIV diagnoses were made in the UK last year 2008, according to latest figures from the Health Protection Agency.

Thirty-eight per cent of all new diagnoses probably acquired through sex with men.
Although the numbers of gay men being diagnosed with HIV are slightly down on 2007, they are at their second highest level since recording began.
Between 1999 and 2007 there was a 110 per cent increase in diagnoses among gay men (1,450 cases to 3,050).

The survey's authors state it is too early to say whether the annual number of new diagnoses among gay men has peaked.
Dr Barry Evans, an HIV expert at the Health Protection Agency, said: "The number of gay men diagnosed as HIV positive each year is still high and shows that a large number of individuals are still being infected.

"Gay men continue to be the group in the UK most at risk of acquiring HIV and latest national guidelines recommend that gay men should test annually.
"Safe sex is the best way to protect against HIV infection. Using a condom with all new or casual partners is the surest way to ensure you do not become infected with a serious sexually transmitted infection such as HIV."

The research found that 57 per cent of new cases were diagnosed in heterosexuals, with 74 per cent of these acquiring the infection abroad.

Professor Maria Zambon, director of the Health Protection Agency’s Centre for Infections, highlighted the importance of early diagnoses.
She said: "Key to improving diagnosis of HIV and reducing risk of transmission is in enabling easier access to testing through different healthcare settings including general practice, and looking at innovative ways to target those communities most at risk including gay men and black African heterosexuals.

"Early diagnosis of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections has obvious advantages like access to treatment, improved survival and reduced transmission risk to partners."
Lisa Power, head of policy at HIV charity Terrence Higgins Trust, said: "Numbers of people diagnosed with HIV are rising for many reasons. More people are getting tested, which is good. But some people don't realise they could be at risk, and others take risks despite knowing them. HIV is not a risk worth taking."

Pink Pasty.. and yet in Cornwall (UK) when a gay employer (whose former longterm partner had died as a result of AIDS), enabled his 16/17yr old student employees to attend in work time a GU Clinic for professional sexual health guidance & work related hepatitis inoculations, the Cornwall police tried to prosecute the gay employer for encouraging students to attend the clinic for what Cornwall HOMOPHOBIC police deemed was ‘Sexual grooming’.

Ironically, not long after , St. Ives in Cornwall was making news as being an HIV hotspot.

Another Cornish Homophobia (& racisim) incident again!

Another incident of Cornish Homophobia (& racisim)

From 'The Western Morning News' Rugby club fined £2,500 for racist jokes
Wednesday, April 01, 2009,

A CORNISH rugby club was last night fined £2,500 after publishing alleged racist, sexist and homophobic jokes in a commemorative match-day programme.
The punishment was handed down to Liskeard-Looe Rugby Football Club after a Rugby Football Union (RFU) disciplinary hearing in Bristol yesterday evening.
After a hearing lasting several hours, the RFU panel found the club guilty of "conduct prejudicial to the interests" of the game.

The disciplinary action came after complaints about the match-day programme for Liskeard-Looe's EDF Junior Vase semi-final battle against Lowestoft and Yarmouth on March 21.
Liskeard-Looe won 26-19, earning them a place in the final at Twickenham.
The club will still be able to contest the final which takes place on May 9.
The eight-page programme included "jokes" about a black man referred to using the "n-word" and comments of a sexual nature.
Others referred to a homosexual visiting a doctor and comments about sex toys.
Chris Quinlan, chairman of RFU disciplinary panel, said: "This is an extremely serious case.
"As the club recognised in the hearing, the offending material brought the game in to disrepute.
"Why such material was ever published is beyond our comprehension.
"Such material damages the reputation of the game, which is rightly proud of its image as a wholesome, clean, fair, family-orientated sport, open and welcoming to all.
"Racism and homophobia have absolutely no place in rugby union.
"However, we did take on board the club's regret and distress that the material was published in its name.
"We were also conscious that the club has earned a place in a Twickenham final on May 9 in what will be the biggest game in its history.
"Having regard to the circumstances of this case, it was decided that the appropriate sanction was a financial penalty, payable within 28 days."

In addition to the fine, the Liskeard-Looe club also has to write letters of apology to sponsors EDF Energy and the chairman of Lowestoft and Yarmouth.

The club is also required to publish an unreserved apology in the local media and carry the same message on the club website and noticeboards for 28 days from April 1.
No-one from Liskeard-Looe was last night available for comment but a statement from the club is expected today.

Pink Pasty..."Yet another indication of the still endemic problem of Homophobic (& racist) attitudes embedded deep into Cornwall's culture...a friend of mine pointed out that a lot of Cornish 'coppers' play rugby

....which may be why the racisim & homophobia was orginally deemed acceptable

Still, well done the RFU....now if only we could get the RFU to investigate the abuses of gay people carried out by Cornwall police officers we might make some real progress on homophobia"!

However...at last questions are being asked about abuses carried out by Cornwall police!!! The IPCC can't cover up for the homophobes for ever!

Cornwall PRIDE 2009 (LGBT Gay)

Cornwall PRIDE 2009 (LGBT Gay)

After the successful Cornwall LGBT gay pride festival held in Truro last year (2008) it appears the new committee this year have put together an equally good entertainment line up for 2009.

Well done them!

From what I can tell, they are keeping to a similar fun filled format to last years 2008 event, which by all accounts worked for purely entertainment value (hey if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!)

Unfortunately, last year I did not go… In fact, it was made clear I was not WELCOME, due to the level of pre-pride abuse I received & further Cornwall police intimidation directed at me personally.

Sadly, every email enquiry myself & others sent last year to the Cornwall Pride group was simply ignored primarily due to the disinformation (polite word for blatant fucking police lies) circulated by Cornwall police & some naive gay sheep.

We are still waiting to see if we get a reply from Cornwall Pride this year!

Last year it being made very clear by other vindictive emails I received & other hate comments made against me personally on various websites, blogs & forums, that as a veteran HIV/AIDS & gay equality campaigner in Cornwall for 20yrs, I personally was NOT WELCOME at last years Cornwall 2008 Pride event. (along with other LGBT persons I knew who have experienced Cornwall police homophobia) .

Having said that, Cornwall police, I believe fearful that more gay people may learn the truth about the widespread scale of homophobic abuses carried out in Cornwall by police officers have also managed to get me excluded from:-
LGBT PACT
Healthy Gay Cornwall
Cornwall LGBT standing Council

As a friend of mine said “Sheep only lgbt organisations can be rounded up & controlled therefore, no goats welcome”!

NOT WELCOME AT Pride?

Lets not forget that Cornwall County Council & Cornwall police have always POINT BLANK refused to independently investigate the homophobic abuse of former 15yr old homeless gay youth Peter Midwood (now 19yrs old). The abuse carried out by known Cornwall police officers & social workers (& organisations like the Intercom Trust) which police officer like PC Alexander & colleague intimidated & threatened the youth whilst he was an IPCC witness against other police officers for misconduct.
The catalogue of Cornwall police abuse is SIMPLY DISGUSTING!!!

Cornwall Gay Youth Abuse

…but after the proven police lies surrounding the public execution of Charles De Menezes at Stockwell tube station, should we really be at all that surprised at the depth of corruption & lies some gay people have experienced from the Cornwall police

Cornwall police force, which I know bitterly to be deeply homophobic, has completely devalued the ‘Rainbow flag’ for me as a symbol of gay pride by flying it from Truro police station last year. This flag flying by Cornwall police was to me like Hitler advocating Jewish holiday homes!

Simply flying a flag does NOT make up for years & years & years of homophobic abuse carried out by known Cornwall police. To me, as long as Devon & Cornwall Chief Constable Otter still protects KNOWN homophobic police officers on his force (I can provide him with a list of names of dishonest & homophobic police officers I personally know), for me there can be NO trust in this Cornwall police force still in 2009.

Freedom of Information Act questions are being asked about Cornwall Police Homophobic conduct & practises

Homophobic Cornwall police conduct & practise by known & identifiable Cornwall police officers has no more place in a modern 2009 police force than does a paedophile teacher in a primary school

…so why does Chief Constable Otter continue to protect known homophobic Cornwall police officers?

Fortunately, I hear the LOATHSOME homophobic Cornwall police force, do not have the same level of influence & input into this years 2009 Cornwall Pride event.

HIP-HIP-HURRAH for that!!!

The abuse directed against me personally last year from some, in particular by some misinformed gay sheep, was quite ironic given my personal involvement in the national PRIDE back in the 1990’s.

In addition, my organising the ‘sole’ ‘age-of-equal-consent’ rally in Cornwall (as filmed by Will Parry for CH4 for the documentary ‘Age of Dissent’) & my involvement as a Cornwall HIV/AIDS Council Trustee & editor of the lgbt ICT publication, in numerous original Cornwall PRIDE events primarily organised by the women’s acorn group back in the 1990’s & the successful (although marred by homophobic Cornwall police disinformation & misconduct) 2007 Cornwall LGBT PRIDE beach day held at Hayle in Cornwall.

It is most sinister that there are those like the Intercom Trust who are trying to bury & re-write the real LGBT history of Cornwall. Please do not forget the abuse contribution Intercom Trust made to violating the life of a young 15yr old homeless gay youth in Cornwall by refusing him help & turning their back on him & other gay people victim of institutional homophobic abuse in Cornwall.

The Internal Homophobia of the Intercom Trust

I know a lot of older LGBT persons were more than a little ‘hacked off’ by claims made by some, that last years Cornwall 2008 event was the ‘1st’ gay pride event ever held in Cornwall!

It was NOT the first PRIDE event in Cornwall!

Tragically, I know many gay people in Cornwall these days simply do not care about other gay victims of abuse …but please let us not forget that there ARE still victims of homophobia in Cornwall. Last year FOUR gay male suicides in Cornwall to my knowledge & several others unrelated attempted Cornwall gay male suicides, and there WAS negative police prior involvement in several Cornwall cases to my knowledge!!!

Gay Suicide Cornwall

With many of today’s gay population, the victims of homophobia are just an inconvenient embarrassment to those lesbians & gays who just want to have sex & self-indulgent hedonistic fun

So for them, here is this year’s 2009 Cornwall (Gay) Pride website address

Cornwall Pride 2009

I just wish the ‘new-pride-kids-on-the-block’ would recognise the many victims of homophobia in Cornwall, whose lives have been ruined & the work done by countless many other lesbians & gay men in Cornwall fighting for gay equality & HIV/AIDS issues over the many harder & harsher decades before 2008.

Iraqi execution of 128 Gay Men (UK Cornwall police would LOVE it there!)

Iraqi Government to Execute 128 Men Because They’re Gay
(Pink Pasty:- Cornwall (UK) Homophobic Police would have a field day in Iraq!)

Article by John P
http://onemansblog.com/2009/04/02/iraqi-government-to-execute-128-men-because-theyre-gay/

According to an exiled member of the Iraqi Gay and Lesbian community, the Iraqi government (which is currently propped up by the US military) is about to begin a string of executions of 128 men who are guilty solely of the “crime” of homosexuality.

The tragedy is that I haven’t seen or heard anything about this unbelievable human rights violation from any of the mainstream media. And we must have hundreds of reporters in Iraq, so what the hell are they doing?

Lest we believe it’s a fabrication, CNN has previously reported and cited a UN study which clearly shows that the problem is well known:

A U.N. report on human rights in Iraq reinforces the accusations of violence. Although gays are supposed to be protected by law in Iraq, it says, they face extreme brutality.

“Armed Islamic groups and militias have been known to be particularly hostile toward homosexuals, frequently and openly engaging in violent campaigns against them,” the report said, adding that homosexuals have been murdered.

“Militias are reportedly threatening families of men believed to be homosexual, stating that they will begin killing family members unless the men are handed over or killed by the family,”
it said.

The report was issued at the end of 2006 and is the last U.N. study to touch on the subject.

The following is the report from the Iraqi LGBT Web site. I would encourage all of you to go and sign the petition to help save these lives. I did.

STOP EXECUTIONS OF GAY IRAQIS MEMBERS OF IRAQI LGBT GROUP ON DEATH ROW
ACTION NEEDED TO HALT JUDICIAL EXECUTIONS
London, 30 March 2009

Urgent action is needed to halt the execution of 128 prisoners on death row in Iraq. Many of those awaiting execution were convicted for the ‘crime’ of homosexuality, according to IRAQI-LGBT, a UK based organisation of Iraqis supporting gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people in Iraq.

According to Ali Hili of IRAQI-LGBT, the Iraqi authorities plan to start executing them in batches of 20 from this week.

IRAQI-LGBT urgently requests that the UK Government, Human Rights Groups and the United Nations Human Rights Commission intervene with due speed to prevent this tragic miscarriage of justice from going ahead.

“We have information and reports on members of our community whom been arrested and waiting for execution for the crimes of homosexuality,’’ said Mr Hili. “Iraqi lgbt has been a banned from running our activities on Iraqi soil.”

“Raids by the Iraqi police and ministry of interior forces cost our group the disappearing and killing of 17 members working for Iraqi lgbt since 2005,” added Mr Hili.

“Death penalty has been increasing at an alarming rate in Iraq since the new Iraqi regime reintroduced it in August 2004.
In 2008 at least 285 people were sentenced to death, and at least 34 executed. In 2007 at least 199 people were sentenced to death and 33 were executed, while in 2006 at least 65 people were put to death. The actual figures could be much higher as there are no official statistics for the number of prisoners facing execution,” he said.

IRAQI LGBT is concerned that the Iraqi authorities have not disclosed the identities of those facing imminent execution, stoking fears that many of them may have been sentenced to death after trials that failed to satisfy international standards for fair trial.

Most are likely to have been sentenced to death by the Central Criminal Court of Iraq (CCCI), whose proceedings consistently fall short of international standards for fair trial. Some are likely to have. Allegations of torture are not being investigated adequately or at all by the CCCI. Torture of detainees held by Iraqi security forces remains rife.

Iraq’s creaking judicial system is simply unable to guarantee fair trials in ordinary criminal cases, and even less so in capital cases, with the result, we fear, that numerous people have gone to their death after unfair trials.

The Iraqi government must order an immediate halt to these executions and establish a moratorium on all further executions in Iraq, particularly since due process cannot be guaranteed. The state executing people for ‘morals’ crimes is also obviously unacceptable and deplorable.

Amnesty International has called on the Iraqi authorities to make public all information pertaining to the 128 people, including their full names, details of the charges against them, the dates of their arrest, trial and appeal and their current places of detention.

The immediate urgent priority is to Support and Donate Money to LGBT activists in Iraq in order to assist their efforts to help other Lesbians, Gay, Bisexuals and Trans gender Iraqi’s facing death, persecution and systematic Targeting by the Iraqi Police and Badr and Sadr Militia and to raise awareness about the wave of homophobic murders in Iraq to the outside world.

Funds raised will also help provide LGBTs under threat of killing with refuge in the safer parts of Iraq (including safe houses, food, electricity, medical help) and assist efforts help them seek refuge in neighboring countries.

Pink Pasty opinion:- "In Cornwall(UK) just like in Iraq, the mainsteam media (West Briton & BBC Radio Cornwall) choose to ignore institutional homophobic abuse. Local government in Cornwall may not be publicly executing 'directly' openly gay people, but with four gay male suicides in Cornwall (UK) last year, organisations like Devon & Cornwall Constabulary are most definately & unquestionably in my personal experience & observation a contributory factor in the deaths of some gay men & the attempted suicides of others in Cornwall(UK).

We know through the ideology of Crown Court Judge Rucker that the Cornwall judicary still has a problem accepting gay equality & laws for the equal protection of gay people. Cornwall police officer DC Magnus Scott 3033, and others (who withheld public witness statement evidence from the courts) including senior police officers protecting DC Scott's brand of homophobic attitudes & practises throughout the Devon & Cornwall Constabulary have so much to answer for.

The only real difference between Iraqi abuse & violation of gay people, is that the Iraqi are simply more open & honest about it, than are the homophobic Devon & Cornwall Constabulary under the command of Chief Constable Stephen Otter".
