…at least that must be the logical conclusion reached by supporters & members of the Intercom Trust based in Devon who recently slated & attacked the gay & Cornish historical, art & cultural art works of Henry Scott Tuke famous for his paintings of naked youth, but have been branded by Intercom Trust as paedophilia.

Sir Elton John is a major private collector of the artwork of Henry Scott Tuke and last year Sir Elton loaned numerous of his paintings to the Royal Cornwall Museum in Truro, Cornwall for a highly successful exhibition of Tuke’s works, which included many of Tuke naked youth paintings.

Henry Scott Tuke’s paintings of naked youth can be found in such prestigious collections as the National Tate Gallery, the London Guildhall Gallery, The Dublin Municipal Gallery, Sotheby’s, Bonham’s, Scouting Association Baden Powell House, Falmouth Art Gallery, Royal Polytechnic Society …the list goes on

But the logical conclusion from the Intercom Trust attack upon Cornish & gay historical & cultural art is that these organisations are harbouring paedophilic Tuke paintings of Child porn & Sir Elton Johnis therefore according to the Intercom Trust ...is a collector of paedophilic material

The Intercom Trust & homophobic supporters have decided to expunge the Historical, Artistic & Cultural importance of Tuke from a government funded lgbt History project in Cornwall.

This quote from the minutes of The Intercom Trust meeting states:-

1.2 Michael (Hall) (of Intercom Trust) made it clear that Intercom could not support the use of the artworks of Henry Scott Tuke in this event or any future events. He made it clear that pederasty and paedophilia have no place in an LGBT History pride event: these are part of the history of abuse and exploitation.

The group agreed that the Tuke’s work was perceived as abusive and sexually exploitative of young people and was not an appropriate exhibition to include in a family event.

This is blatant homophobia & racist towards the Cornish culture by the Intercom Trust, (which is a registered charity & is UK government funded), has outraged artists, gay people, Cornish people & even distant relatives of Tuke’s former youth models for the clear PREJUDICE & DISCRIMINATION of the Intercom Trust & its supporters against gay & Cornish history & culture.

This is obviously an absurd osition to take.

I would, respectfully, urge you to reconsider any decision to exclude Henry Scott Tuke and his paintings.

In our quest for LGBT acceptance, we should never sell our souls and bend to the demands of the new puritans and the baying mob, but stand firm and steadfast for what is right, just and fair - and defend art and beauty against the ugliness of narrow-minded prejudice.

The Intercom Trust, (TIT),an organisation I personally know is responsible for abuse of vulnerable gay people & gay youth in Cornwall, Intercom recently attacked & voted to excluded the Art work of famous Cornwall Artist Henry Scott Tuke from reference in a government funded LGBT History project in Cornwall.

The attack by Michael Hall of the Intercom Trust in their minute meeting has effectively branded:-

1. Sotherbys & Bonhams auction houses as peddling ‘child pornography’(They do & have sold Tuke male youth nude Art works)

2. The Scouting Association at Baden Powell House of possessing ‘child porn’ in the form of a Henry Scott Tuke male youth nude painting they own, along with the National Tate Gallery, Dublin Municipal Gallery, Leeds City Gallery & the London Guildhall Gallery, and others, all of whom own Tuke paintings of male youth nude which the Intercom Trust have homophobically branded as paedophilia

3. Intercom Trust have in effect accused Cornwall County Council of displaying & distributing ‘child pornography’ through the recent Henry Scott Tuke Exhibition the Cornwall Council co-funded at the Royal Cornwall Museum in Truro, Cornwall.

4. Intercom Trust have in effect accused the Royal Cornwall Polytechnic society & the Falmouth Art Gallery of possessing ‘Child pornography’ in the form of Henry Scott Tuke paintings of male nude youth.

5. Intercom Trust have effectively accused Sir Elton John one of the most prolific of private art collectors of Tuke Works, of having an interest in paedophilia. Sir Elton kindly loaned a considerable number of his Tuke paintings to the Truro museum last year

The “Intercom Trust” has in effect, accused some of our most famous Art auction houses in selling ‘child porn’ by the sale of Tuke paintings of male youth.

Sir Elton John, who has a personal large collection of Tuke Art works, is effectively being compared to a paedophile by Intercom Trust.

The Royal Cornwall Museum, in Truro, last year staged the largest exhibition of Tuke Art works, drawing thousands of visitors and was even promoted in the Daily Mail, (not exactly known for its gushing empathy towards gay persons),… but it is the Intercom Trust, which once again has attacked gay history & culture in the southwest.

I received personally earlier this year, a letter of thanks from Dame Naula O’Loan DBE, chair of the UK Governments Equality & Human Rights Commission for the witness evidence & testimony I gave to the UK Equality & Human Rights Enquiry last year.

Some of my personal witness testimony to the Commission representatives was condemnation of abuses I was aware of carried out by the “Intercom Trust”.

I have been raising concerns about ‘Intercom Trust” abuse of gay persons in the southwest for some time.

An Exeter University Member has made an official complaint AGAINST the Intercom Trust ...and not before time.

This is not the first complaint made against the vile & loathsome “Intercom Trust”, based in Devon for their homophobic prejudice towards gay people. Gay people in the Southwest need to be more aware of abuses carried out against lgbt people from within the Intercom Trust!

In a nutshell, the “Intercom Trust” have basically condemned one of Cornwall’s most famous artists, Henry Scott Tuke, as being a paedophile…and in the process by proxy, effectively condemned Sir Elton John, (one of the biggest Art collectors of Henry Scott Tuke’s works) as having an interest in paedophilia???

This abuse by Intercom Trust is seen by some Cornish & some informed gay people as an attack upon their history & cultural Art history as well as an attack upon gay history in the southwest.

Last year 2008, the Royal Cornwall Museum in Truro, Cornwall, hosted the biggest collective exhibition of works by Henry Scott Tuke, featuring many of his male youth nudes. The Truro exhibition was a huge success and attended by thousands of people. The Falmouth Municipal Art gallery contains a huge number of Tuke’s male nude works in their collection. Tuke’s male nude paintings of youth can be found in the Royal Polytechnic Society collection, the Scouting Association HQ, Baden Powell House, The London Guildhall Art Gallery, The National Tate Gallery & Sir Elton John personally loaned numerous Tuke paintings from his own private collection to the Royal Cornwall Truro museum exhibition last year.

But, the Homophobic & anti-gay “Intercom Trust” based in Devon, run by Michael Hall, have attacked the Cornish Artist Tuke, one of the worlds most iconic of homocentric artists, in the minutes of their “Intercom Trust” meeting:- quote:

1.2 Michael (Hall) made it clear that Intercom could not support the use of the artworks of Henry Scott Tuke in this event or any future events. He made it clear that pederasty and paedophilia have no place in an LGBT History pride event: these are part of the history of abuse and exploitation.

The group agreed that the Tuke’s work was perceived as abusive and sexually exploitative of young people and was not an appropriate exhibition to include in a family event. The group agreed that the need to protect children and young people was imperative, and discussed the need for clear boundaries to be put in place. It was agreed that this was to include boundaries for its member’s behaviour.

This blatant homophobia has outraged artists, gay people, & even distant relatives of Tuke’s former youth models for the clear PREJUDICE & DISCRIMINATION of the Intercom Trust.

Matt, one Cornish complainant wrote:- “As a Cornish man I feel abused and humiliated by Intercom's position. I was at the RIC Truro in December where Tuke's work is displayed alongside other Cornish painters. I find Intercom's position to be racist against the Cornish, especially myself, where my great-great-grandfather was Charlie Mitchell (See Tuke's subjects and will). I feel neither exploited nor abused by Tuke, but I do by Intercom”.

In another letter to the LGBT History Project they wrote “SHAME ON YOU ALL for supporting Intercom's homophobia! I therefore withdraw my co-operation from your event. I REGRET UTTERLY EVER inviting Peter Tatchell to attend this event, and REGRET offering my heritage knowledge and contacts, as well as the choir I am treasurer for. SHAME ON YOU!”

As a victim of Intercom Trust homophobic abuse myself personally, I see this as yet another attack upon Cornwall’s culture, Art & gay history by the “Intercom Trust”. This comes as completely no surprise to myself or other informed gay persons in Cornwall as to the exclusion & ostracising methods and practises being used by the loathsome & HOMOPHOBIC “Intercom Trust”, funded by the Home Office.

A Discretionary HIV/AIDS Trust Fund, "The Sprocket Trust" established in 1996, is to help fund & support continued exposure of police homophobic abuses & misconduct in Cornwall.

Part of the Discretionary HIV/AIDS Trust Fund remit & mission statement, is to ‘Raise awareness & challenge prejudice’.

Created in 1996 following homophobic abuse & HIV/AIDS discrimination in Cornwall, UK by local government (as established by Ombudsman & a Cornwall County Council enquiry 1997) & abuse by Cornwall police towards the founder, local Cornishman Andrew Roger Smith.

Andrew, who was blind & terminally ill with HIV/AIDS died 20th December 1996. Since then the Sprocket Trust has quietly been continuing with the primary objectives of the Trust.

With the primary objectives of the Trust now less pressing, continued institutional homophobic abuse of gay people in Cornwall remains a major concern, in particular continued homophobia harboured & protected by some senior officers within the Devon & Cornwall police force

The Equality & HIV/AIDS Sprocket Trust are to financially help aid the voluntary work by veteran gay equality campaigner Malcolm Lidbury in Cornwall and his production of ‘Awareness & Educational’ videos regarding continuing homophobia in the County of Cornwall, UK.

Having examined witness testimony statements & evidence provided from within the Cornwall LGBT community, a spokesperson for the Trust said:-

“In our opinion, it appears evident some agencies, both government funded & within the gay community still fail abysmally in their responsibility & their lawful duty to protect gay members of the public.

Cornwall police & other Cornish agencies abused our founder, Andrew Smith, as a gay person. Twelve years on in 2009, some of these same government agencies are still apparently prejudicial, negligent, and/or slothful in their attitudes to continued abuses & hate crime carried out against gay people. In particular reported abuses by Cornwall police officers.

This genuinely appals us.

Of equal concern has been misguided hostility of some LGBT groups in Cornwall in their negative attitudes against gay victims of hate crime & homophobia. This internalised homophobia, further isolating those very gay people already institutionally abused by authorities in Cornwall, like the police.

It is felt it is essential therefore to aid & support Mr Lidbury. He has been an equality campaigner for over two decades, who at great personal risk & who has often been libellously & slanderously vilified & attacked, but has had the courage to speak against continued institutional abuse of gay people in Cornwall, in the UK”

Mr Lidbury in January 2009, was thanked & acknowledged in writing by Dame Nuala O’Loan DBE, Chair of the UK Governments Equality & Human Rights Commission, for Mr Lidbury’s written & verbal testimony given to the UK Government Human Rights Enquiry in 2008.

Mr Lidbury’s evidence specifically highlighted experience & observation of Cornwall police abuses of gay people and the ‘Independent Police Complaint Commissions’ failure to grasp impact and affect of continuing police systematic operational abuses against gay persons.

He also Included internalised homophobia against gay victims of hate crime by such groups like the ‘Intercom Trust’ based in Devon

Mr Lidbury gave, hours of oral evidence testimony, along with written & other evidence to the Criminal Research dept. of Kings College University, on behalf of the governments Audit Office regarding homophobic attitudes & practises still perpetuated by institutions & authorities in Cornwall.

Mr Lidbury said:- “The last four years have been a particularly traumatic & violating struggle, one in which some Cornwall police have abusively lied, bullied & intimidated myself & others, pushing me personally to the very brink of suicide.

As long as those police officers identified remain members of Devon & Cornwall Constabulary, I know as an absolute certainty gay people continue to be at genuine risk of continued abusive practises still endorsed & protected within this Devon & Cornwall police force. As long as the IPCC turns a blind-eye, abuse of gay people by Cornwall police will simply continue unabated. Devon & Cornwall Constabulary still decline & refuse to respond to correspondence on these matters”

THE FACTS

• The Gay Police Association last year reported nationally a 25% increase in the number of complaints made by police officers regarding homophobic misconduct of other police officers

• A Freedom of Information Act request revealed that in the year leading up to March 2008, there were over 1,200+ official complaints of sexual abuse, misconduct, failure of duty & corruption, etc. complaints made AGAINST Devon & Cornwall Constabulary Police officers by the public. This the 3rd highest level of complaints against any of the 42 police forces in the UK.

• It also revealed that almost 25% of these complaints against Devon & Cornwall Constabulary were un-finalised, (ignored, or simply not acted upon) by the Devon & Cornwall police or even IPCC.

• There were at least FOUR-lgbt community known gay male suicides in Cornwall, UK in 2008. At the high profile enquiry of one Cornwall gay male suicide victim, several national British newspapers reported witnesses gave evidence that the victim was driven to suicide by homophobic abuse, in Cornwall

• In 2008, the owner of a former gay bar in Newquay gave local homophobia in Cornwall as the reason for its closure. Police seem powerless or worse, choose to empathise with homophobic acts & hate crime against gays according to some/many local lgbt persons in Cornwall

• Many complaints in recent years made by members of the LGBT community in Cornwall AGAINST Cornwall police officers still remain entirely ignored & un-investigated

• In 2005 a Home Office report referred to ‘Endemic’ homophobia throughout British police forces, little seems to have changed in Cornwall

• In 2008 Stonewall UK equality organisation reported that only 1% of homophobic incidents reported to UK police result in a prosecution.

• Stonewall also reported 3 out of 5 gay people have been a victim of homophobic abuse and/or hate crime in the UK. A clear failing of the Criminal Justice system & police, which the government Home Secretary, Harriet Harman gave a clear undertaking to address.

Many will feel it is quite clear; police forces like Devon & Cornwall Constabulary are still failing to address homophobia within their own police organisation by ignoring those lgbt persons who do report police abuses and then find themselves targeted and further abused by the police.

Ironically Chief Constable Steven Otter of the Devon & Cornwall Constabulary is quoted as saying on a Police Chief Constable website with reference to Devon & Cornwall Constabulary:-

“A force which delivers excellent services across all areas of policing so that the people of Devon and Cornwall will be safer and feel safer because of the work we do”.

A spokesperson for the HIV/AIDS Sprocket Trust stated…

Stephen Otter is the Chief Constable of Devon and Cornwall Constabulary. Mr Otter began his police career in 1982 when he joined Thames Valley Police.

Chief Constable Steven Otter after taking over as Chief Constable of Devon & Cornwall Constabulary is supposed to have said “Part of my role is to put together a top class Chief Officers Group COG and I am very proud of the team that we have put together.

However, we suggest he reads the catalogue of abuses carried out by HIS Cornwall police officers AGAINST gay people!

Chief Constable Otter is said to have said “I feel it is a great privilege to have been appointed as the chief constable of Devon Cornwall Constabulary. I am confident that this dynamic and highly capable team of chief officers will lead the Constabulary to be a top performing force”

However, we suggest Steven Otter looks into the over 1,200+ OFFICIAL complaints revealed by an application under the Freedom of Information Act that the public have made AGAINST HIS police officers for misconduct, sexual offences, abuse & corruption in the year leading up to March 2008.

Especially as Devon & Cornwall, Constabulary have had to admit that almost 25% of these official complaints have been ignored or remain un-finalized.

Chief Constable Steven Otter is said to have said “A force which delivers excellent services across all areas of policing so that the people of Devon and Cornwall will be safer and feel safer because of the work we do”.

Well I know LGBT persons who DO NOT FEEL SAFE specifically BECAUSE & DUE TO the misconduct & abusive practices & attitudes harbored & protected within his police force AGAINST gay persons.

I know from personal experience that Chief Constable Steven Otter completely ignores correspondence addressed & sent DIRECTLY to him from members of the Cornwall gay population who have been abused & violated by HIS police officers.

The irony & joke …Mr OTTER is spokesperson for ACPO on ‘equality & diversity’.

These are some of the FACTS the IPCC (Independent Police Complaints Commission) DID establish regarding complaint made by a gay person against Cornwall police, but NOTHING has been done about these incidents or the catalogue of other Cornwall police abuses highlighted:

1. A Cornwall police officer lied about a (non-existent) signature in a pocket book. Abuser in the company of PC Tar (Camborne)

2. Police failed to provide (withheld) legal court documentation. abuse by PC Tar of Camborne

3. Police failed to return a computer after it had been cleared by police forensics (police kept it for weeks in a lock up garage or similar) abuse by DC Anning

4. Police did make un-logged (not recorded by police) visits to the family home (these were most intimidating to his elderly mother) abuse by PC Tar & another, also DC Crowe & DS Beckerlegge

5. kept a gay person on a computer as a suspect AFTER the case had been NFA'd (no further action) abuse by DC Anning

6. failed to provide food for over 7 hours whilst a suspect was in custody. Abuse by Camborne custody officers

7. failed to inform a gay suspect weeks after a case had been finalised that there was no further action Abuse by DC Anning again

8. there was no means to follow recieved mail into Exeter Middlemore police HQ within the internal system of the police headquarters, therefore no quality control on delivery of service

These are further complaints regarding Chief Constable Otters Cornwall police force misconduct the IPCC choose NOT to investigate and still remain buried to the utter frustration and angst of the gay victims of Cornwall police continuing homophobic abuses:-

1. Failure of ‘Duty of Care’ to a homeless 15yr old teenage gay youth (UNIVESTIGATED) abuse by PC Treloar & PC Fuller of Helston

2. Attempted blackmail of a teenage gay youth (UNINVESTIGATED) abuse by DC Scott of Camborne

3. Abuse of a gay teenager in a strip search & botched ‘Stop & Search’ (UNIVESTIGATED) abuse by PC Alexander & another police officer

4. Seizing of a computer leading to destruction of a gay businesses (UNIVESTIGATED) abuse DC Anning & senior officers

5. Failure to follow ‘TRUE VISION’ & CPS definition of ‘Homophobic Incident’ following serious physical assault of two gay/bi persons (UNIVESTIGATED) abuse by Three Helston Police Officers

6. Refusal to take statements from Gay/Bi witnesses (UNIVESTIGATED) abuse by Sgt. Rowe of Helston

7. Perjury by a police officer in Crown Court (UNINVESTIGATED) abuse by DC Scott of Camborne

8. Further un-logged visits by police officers to further intimidate complaintents against the police (UNIVESTIGATED) abuse by DC Crowe & DS Beckerlegge

9. Refusal of a police Sgt. to take a witness statement from an adult gay eyewitness (a founding member of Cornwall's lesbian women's publication OUTBACK was witness to this police refusal) (UNINVESTIGATED) abuse by Sgt Rowe of Helston

10. Only an 'out' gay person was arrested out of a group of people equaly taking part in lawful activty (No charges were made against the gay person. abuse by DC Parker ( UNINVESTIGATED) who also ignored text msgs from the false accuser ADMITTING it was a false allegation against the gay man & failed to return lawful belongings seized by police.

In a recent enquiry into the death of a gay man in Cornwall, witnesses gave evidence that HOMOPHOBIA drove the gay victim to suicide

To:- PC Steven Cannon, Diversity Officer Devon & Cornwall Constabulary


Dear PC Cannon

I have been informed by a gay friend of mine that you have asked him to obtain a written witness statement from me regarding the homophobic abuse & intimidation against him, which I witnessed last year.

I wish to ‘publicly’ make it quite clear I am willing to make a written statement regarding this matter; however, I feel you are being less than honest with the gay victim & deceitful regarding Devon & Cornwall police negative & prejudicial attitudes towards written statements given by the public regarding gay hate crime & homophobic incidents.

I am fully aware, as are you, that written statements given by the public & not taken down by police officers have NO VALIDITY with Devon & Cornwall Constabulary.

I know this in reference to the Forty-Eight witness statements given by members of the public in defence of a gay man in Cornwall falsely accused of serious offences, these statements disregarded by Cornwall police in order to corruptly suppress knowledge of the violations & abuses of gay people being carried out in Cornwall by police.

ALL of which Forty Eight public written statements were disregarded & excluded by the dishonesty & corruption, a common place feature of Devon & Cornwall Constabulary dealings with gay people in Cornwall, along with the suppression of other physical evidence.

I am painfully aware that this sort of Cornwall police corruption & homophobic attitudes & practises by Cornwall police officers is commonplace within and throughout the Cornwall police force when dealing with gay persons.

I can & have of course given previously numerous examples and did so in writing as a witness in the governments Human Right Commission enquiry last year. I am aware there were over 1,200 complaints made against Devon & Cornwall police last year, many of the complaints from gay, lesbian, bisexual & transgender persons completely disregarded & ignored entirely without investigation…as is the way with this corrupt & deeply homophobic Cornwall police force.

I am fully aware that even if a member of the public gives a voluntary statement it will be disregarded by Cornwall police if it contains witness evidence of abusive police practises against gay persons…as happened following the violent assault upon a Mr Lealand in May 2006.

I am also aware (Stonewall 2008) that only 1% of homophobic crime reported to the police results in a prosecution, primarily due to the homophobic attitudes & practises of police…in a similar manor to the police homophobia, which obstructed investigation as exposed by the enquiry into the Stephen Lawrence murder.

Therefore: Knowing as I do the level of corrupt practise, dishonesty, abuse, & violation of gay peoples lives that is accepted & protected normal conduct & behaviour of numerous police officers within the Devon & Cornwall Constabulary I believe the ONLY way in which I can safeguard my written evidence and my willingness to give evidence is by doing so transparently, openly & publicly to ensure Cornwall police do not withhold or suppress evidence as is their known habit with gay related incidents in Cornwall.

To summarise:

• I am willing to give a written statement regarding the homophobic incident I witnessed
• I will do so in writing, but insist that a police officer also takes a written statement from me and my own statement is also submitted as evidence and noted within the police statement
• I will require a witness present to ensure Cornwall police do not falsify or write anything other than the statement I shall give.
• I strongly suggest that none of the still serving homophobically abusive Cornwall police officers I have previously encountered, named & identified for their homophobic practises & attitudes are involved in taking of the statement (a list of which can be provided or simply read my blog)

Yesterday I received a letter from Dame Nulala O’Loan DBE, the Chair of the UK Governments Human Rights Enquiry.

The letter, thanking me for my written witness evidence I gave to the UK Human Rights Enquiry last year 2008.

My evidence was this Pink Pasty ‘blog’ (entries up until July 2008), plus the three books I have written & a five hour interview with the Criminal Research Dept. of Kings College, London, regarding primarily the (continuing) homophobic practises of the Cornwall police.

My evidence was example, after example, after example, of the entrenched institutional homophobic attitudes & practises embedded within the authorities of Cornwall. Especially within the homophobic Cornwall Police & Cornwall County Council.

The catalogue of homophobic abuses ignored by (the IPCC ) and senior management within those organisations which I highlighted, the homophobic Cornwall Police & and equally Homophobic Cornwall Social Services being right up there at the very top.

Regrettably, I had to reply to Dame Nulala O’Loan yesterday, immediately informing the Human Rights Commission that the homophobic attitudes & practises within the authorities of Cornwall, continue unabated, especially in the police, under the command of Chief Constable Steven Otter, as we go into 2009.

Then I learned, that the homophobe, an x- military commander, a man who had insisted that I as a gay man should be sacked from my job. This was his condition of purchasing a restaurant in Cornwall in 2004 that he was buying (facts established by the IPCC in 2004 enquiry into homophobic abuses by various Cornwall police officers)…he had dropped DEAD on Christmas Day…Sad for his family, but one less bloody homophobe in the Helston area of Cornwall

I was raised by my parents to stand up to bullies...I have been standing up for gay equality for over twenty years. It has cost me dearly, standing up to the homophobic bullies in the deeply prejudicial authorities of Cornwall, UK who continue to abuse their positions of power against gay people.

As a gay man, I have been homophobically vilified, persecuted, hounded, & abused relentlessly by Devon & Cornwall police in the last four years. They truly are neo-Nazi scum!

I have been verbally abused & slated by faceless cowards & whispering sycophants in the local gay population, who bury their heads about the abuses carried out against other gay people, isolating still further those who experience authority abuse in CORNWALL.

Gays who ignore the facts of other gay people experience& choose to listen to police instigated misinformation, propaganda, & tit-tat gossip.

I know through first hand experience the Intercom Trust abuses, ostracises, & isolates gay men who have experience of violations and abuses carried out by their, Intercom Trust chums in the abusive Cornish police force.

As a result, let us hope we do not see yet more gay male suicides in Cornwall in 2009.

Let us hope the current accepted Cornwall Police attitudes & practises of police officers like those I have observed & experienced by Scott, Anning, Parker, Rowe, Bolt, Eastern, Tar, Crowe, Beckerlegge, Fuller, Treloar, Alexander, etc. etc against gay persons, will not be the cause of yet further gay male suicides in Cornwall

…but with such common place anti-gay police practises as is/has been carried out by the above officers as accepted normal police conduct in Cornwall against gay people …it is a thin hope!

FOUR gay male suicides last year in Cornwall (2008) and the unconnected attempted suicides of at least two other Cornish gay men, in which there was direct Cornwall police involvement in at least two cases. That is quite enough dead & violated gay people in a small gay population like that of Cornwall’s

I have no doubt there will be far too many Cornish Coppers of exactly the loathsome type I have personally meet, rubbing their hands in glee and celebrating the four gay death’s in Cornwall that we already know of

However, what do I know, I am a nobody, a bog standard ordinary Joe, excluded as a gay person by Cornwall LGBT PACT, excluded by the Intercom Trust, because I don’t toe the line & keep quiet, but dare to speak out as a gay person against homophobic practises & attitudes of those Cornwall police officers I have personally encountered & can name & identify!

I am one who believes like George Bernard Shaw, that all constructive change is as a result of 'unreasonable men'. The reasonable man (sheep) cowl, grovel, conform, hide & accept, whereas the unreasonable man says 'NO' and actively fights to alter, strive for progress & change things.

Evil, like that of the repetitive Cornwall police force homophobic violations, misconduct & behaviour against gay men still continues unabated whilst abusive police officers (like those we can & have identified) get away with it are still protected by senior rank, and such police violations of gay people continue to thrive when good people do nothing!

There is clearly widespread senior police officer empathy & support within & throughout the Devon & Cornwall police force for police officers who prejudice against & abuse & violate gay peoples lives, why else are these abusers still serving police officers?

As long as those Cornwall police officers I have identified previously through this ‘blog’ remain serving police officers…then I KNOW gay people will continue to remain unsafe, victims of police instigated Hate Crime. I know the protected abusive homophobic attitudes & practises of this Devon & Cornwall Constabulary will continue unabated, with NO Honesty, NO Integrity, NO Impartiality & NO Transparency of conduct, just as they do currently, unless repeatedly & constantly publicly challenged.

I can be very, very unreasonable and despite threats & intimidation carried out directly against me by Devon & Cornwall Constabulary, I do not give in easily, as the almost 1 MILLION total views of all my videos and the raised awareness of continued Cornwall police abuses of gay men demonstrate.

So here is to the next MILLION views being made and even more people made aware & informed of the brutal reality of Cornwall Police continued Homophobic Abuse.

Chief Constable Steven Otter needs to stop ignoring the abuses carried out by his police officers, abuse like that carried out & contributed too by the likes of Anning, Parker, Scott, Rowe, Tar, Crowe, Beckerlegge, Cannon, Bolt, Eastern, and the very numerous other police officers with attitude problems towards gay people.

These homophobic police officers need to be weeded out, then and only then will we progress and then perhaps a little more than the current 1% of all reported gay hate crime will result in an actual prosecution, instead of the shoddy unprofessional anti-gay police service we currently continue to endure in Cornwall.

With Cornwall police officers like those named above (and I include the Chief Constable who ignores correspondence on gay related issues) I know gay people remain at genuine risk & not safe from crime & intimidation committed against us as gay people.

However, together we can stop it and eventually one day, (but not today or even in the foreseeable future), we might eventually get a Cornwall police force & even a Chief Constable, we gay people can trust. A police force, which will protect & serve, and gay people will be able to live without constant fear of Cornwall police persecution & intimidation and not one where diversity officers try to suppress & shut up gay people who experience police abuses.

Not, as is the current situation, a Cornwall police force, which continues to abuse & violate gay people’s lives (even when they are bloody dead & already cremated!) and organisations like the Cornwall Police Authority & IPCC, might stop turning a blind-eye to these active police abuses!

MORE than 1,200 official complaints were made against Devon and Cornwall police in the 12 months up to last March, official figures show.

The complaints included six allegations of serious sexual assault made against police officers.

A further three allegations of serious sexual assault were made against police staff whose position was listed as "unknown". This could be because the person making the complaint did not know if the alleged offender was a police officer, community support officer or special constable.

And five allegations of sexual assault not categorised as "serious" were made against police officers while 29 similar allegations were made against members of staff whose position was also listed as "unknown".

The figures came to light after a Freedom of Information Act request asking for details of official complaints against police officers, community support officers and special constables with the Devon and Cornwall force.

Information revealed a total of 1,269 official complaints were made against Devon and Cornwall police staff in the period from April 4, 2007 to March 31, 2008.
Of these, 961 were complaints against police officers, 36 were against community support officers, 16 were against special constables and for the remaining 256 the rank of the person complained about was unknown.

The complaints are broken down into categories including sexual assault, assault, discriminatory behaviour and corrupt practice.

The most significant area of complaint was "Other neglect or failure of duty", with 304 complaints made against police officers in this category.

There were also 159 complaints of "incivility, impoliteness and intolerance" against police officers and 107 complaints of "oppressive conduct or harassment", also against police officers.

Although the outcomes of individual complaints were not available, figures showed that 173 of the complaints against police officers were resolved locally by the police division and 151 were classed as "unsubstantiated". The outcome of 372 complaints against police officers were "not known".

A spokesman for the police force said the total number of allegations and the total figure for the outcomes of allegations did not exactly match because cases may not have been finalised or the result may not have been entered.

A police press officer explained if one person made six allegations against one police officer, this would be counted as six complaints, so the figures "may appear higher than they actually are".

Other outcomes included dispensations by the IPCC and dispensations by the police force.

The figures came from the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary's own records.
Figures from the IPCC for the financial year 2007/8 show there were 933 complaints against Devon and Cornwall police, down 6 per cent from 990 in the financial year 2006/7.

The highest number of complaints against forces in the UK were recorded against London's Metropolitan Police, with 5,349 complaint cases.

This was followed by Greater Manchester, with 1,794 complaint cases, and the West Midlands, with 1,707 complaint cases.

Pink Pasty Opinion. None of the above comes as any surprise at all to those of us who have made an official complaint against the corrupt & abusively homophobic Devon & Cornwall Constabulary. The police try to dumb down the figures and in my own experience try to abuse, bully & intimidate those who do make legitimate complaints.

The fact is in my experience we have a widespread culture of homophobic attitudes & practises within the Devon & Cornwall Constabulary, abuse of gay people which is acceptable to senior police officers right to the very top.

A Cornwall police environment of empathy towards those who commit Hate Crimes against gay people...at least that is my experience of Cornwall police officers Anning, Scott, Parker, Tar, Alexander, Bolt, Eastern, Rowe, Treloar, Fuller, Woods (retired), and many, many numerous other Cornwall police officers who by their conduct have directly contributed to the continued abuse of gay people in Cornwall.

The problem is the Independent Police Complaints Commission is completely ineffectual & useless and chooses to blind eye (ignoring entirely x14 witnesses in my own experience) and disregard the majority of complaints without proper investigation.

As long as there are police officers like those I have personally encountered & can & have identified and named, I KNOW gay people will continued to be violated abused traumatised & homophobically targeted by the Devon & Cornwall constabulary.

So as we enter 2009, after last years FOUR gay male suicides in Cornwall, we can expect more dead gay people in Cornwall...and I have no doubt the Cornwall police will have played their sinister part in ANY gay mans untimely death here in Cornwall.

But do not complain about it, you'll get targeted, abused & your life entirely violated by the corruption & homophobic attitudes which is the common place Cornwall police way of abusing people.

Cornwall Police = Still the enemy and the problem, NO part of a soloution to gay hate crime & homophobia.

That can be the ONLY conclusion one can come too..More of the same corruption in covering up the abuses carried out by Cornwall police officers.

Whilst the Devon & Cornwall Constabulary, under the leadership of Steven Otter Chief Constable (the one accused of racisim by one of his OWN senior Commanders no less) continues to blind eye and refuse to act on the catalogue of abuses and violations of gay peoples lives as carried out by HIS police officers!!!

This wholesale & repeatedly common place abusive & violating practises as regularily carried out by the homophobic Cornwall police force, will carry on unabated until action is taken AGAINST those Cornwall police officers who are protected within the homophobic old boy police network and still believe it is perfectly acceptable to target, victimise & abuse gay people because they are gay.

Now in Dec 2008 we have Cornwall police officers trying to prosecute the CORPSE of a DEAD gay man. A gay man who committed suicide (and there was police involvement!) in December 2008 after police went after him on alleged driving offences, Oh just like the police have done with other gay men in Cornwall. (The latest death, one of four gay men to have done so in Cornwall in 2008)

It is no wonder more & more gay people in Cornwall are steadily becoming aware & informed of the reality that it is in fact the Cornwall police they as gay people have to fear above all others for homophobic abuses & Hate Crime

DC Woods (Retired)(who contributed in 2004 to the cancelation of location of a LGBT meeting on policing in the lgbt community)

DC Anning in 2004 (Who withheld a computor from its legal owner, failed to finalise a case, caused trauma & distress to a falsely accused gay person, refused access to lawful business records (AS ESTABLISHED BY THE IPCC), threatened to destroy personal files & business records)

DC Scott in 2004 (Who contributed to attempted blackmail of a homeless gay youth by witholding statutory services, mislead a court, lied in court, who testified in court, that a gay sexual act is ALAWYS an act of sexual violence! Who collaborated in misinformation & false allegation against a gay person. Who is also responsible for continued intimidation, abuse & trauma against gay persons in Cornwall) THIS PERSON HAS NO PLACE IN THE POLICE FORCE for the protection & welfare of the public in my experience (Complaint ignored by the IPCC)

Inspector Bolt (Who believes it is PERFECTLY acceptable & NOT harassment, and even said so in writing, for a person to scream homophobic abuse in the streets at a gay person and for that person to falsely spread the rumour that a person has HIV/AIDS, when they DO NOT! )(Complaint ignored by the IPCC)

Inspector Eastern (Professional? Standards Unit, Nothing professional in this police officers attitude when reported to them that two persons claming to be police officers had visited an elderly women, which the police strenuously denied were police officers until it was proven they wre police officers )(Complaint ignored by the IPCC)

PC Tar & colleague (Who withheld/failed to provide legal court documentation & whose colleague LIED about a non-existent signature in a police pocket book...as proven by the IPCC)

PC Alexander (& colleague)(Who abused a gay youth & a widow pensioner witness in a botched Stop & Strip search on the youth) (Complaint ignored by the IPCC)

Sergent Rowe (Helston)(Who REFUSED to take a witness statement from a gay man and who also by his own admission targeted a gay man with vehicle stops as he recognised him as a gay man who had made a complaint)(Complaint ignored by the IPCC)

PC Fuller (Who neglected their duty of care & IGNORED a homeless CHILD living on the streets of Helston)(Complaint ignored by the IPCC)

We could mention the three police officers on duty on the evening of Flora Day, Helston 2006 who told a gay/bi man who reported a homophobic assault and who was victim of the violent assault, (had been bottled over the head, kicked in the face, ribs & back and who the assailant tried to STAMP on the victims head). The police officer said to the victim when reporting the assault and I quote “Shut up, be quiet, you DO NOT want to say that”. (Complaint ignored by the IPCC)

The same police officer the following day THREATENED to prosecute the gay victim, if witnesses continued to press ahead with their complaint of both assault & the misconduct of the police officers concerned.(Complaint ignored by the IPCC)

That is a typical reaction of Cornwall police officers towards gay people

We could mention the custody officers at Camborne who fail to provide any food & only one drink in seven hours to a falsely accused gay man held in Camborne police incarceration (established by the IPCC)

We could add the PC Canon, a so-called Diversity officer, has COMPLETELY IGNORED all the reported incidents to him involving abuses against gay persons carried out by his mates in the police (Complaint ignored by the IPCC)

We could mention the police officer who REFUSED information as to how to make a formal complaint against the police (Complaint ignored by the IPCC)

We could mention another police officer who refused to take a witness statement from a gay eye witness (Complaint ignored by the IPCC)

We could mention the police officers from St.Austell who have targeted known gay youth (Complaint ignored by the IPCC)

We could mention the police officers from Cornwall who persicuted two former Plymouth business owners (Complaint ignored by the IPCC)

We could mention the Cornwall police officer who believes the 15 certificate comedy starring Robin Williams ‘The Birdcage’, is a gay film which can be used for… sexual grooming (Complaint ignored by the IPCC)

We could mention the Cornwall police officer who believes teenagers obtaining sexual health advice from the GU Clinic …is sexual grooming (Complaint ignored by the IPCC)

We could mention the Cornwall police officer who ignores the law of age of consent for gay persons since 2001, believing it should still be 21yrs for gays…or even still criminalised. (Complaint ignored by the IPCC)

We could mention the Cornwall police officer who intimidated witnesses for a gay defendant to false allegations made by a known homophobic person (Complaint ignored by the IPCC)

…and NO RESPONSIBILTY is taken by the faceless senior officers above these persons who also fail in their duty & responsibility to protect the public from abuses of power, violations & misconduct carried out by their subordinate officers…Former Deputy Chief Constable , Nigel Arnold has much to answer for; (Complaint ignored by the IPCC)

Also: despite reporting the following to the Devon & Cornwall police

. Attempted Blackmail/extortion
. Threats of physical violence
. Abuse & misconduct by named & identified Cornwall police officers

Nothing is done about reported crime against gay persons and is COMPLETELY ignored by Cornwall police (Complaint ignored by the IPCC)

It is no wonder the National papers are reporting that police completely ignore four out of every ten crimes reported to them!

It is NO wonder STONEWALL reported in 2008 that only 1% of crime reported to the police by LGBT persons results in a conviction…because the police simply DO NOT take crime against gay persons seriously.

It is NO WONDER 3 in every 5 lgbt persons have been a victim of homophobic crime, whilst we have Chief Constables like Steven Otter who still turn a blind eye to crimes against gay persons…committed by HIS police officers! The joke, this police officer is the police spokesperson on ‘Equality & Diversity’…who was himself accused of racism by one of his OWN senior commanders

Do gay people REALLY stand a chance?

Cornwall Police = They really are the problem of homophobic crime and still no part of the soloution. The police complaint system is deeply flawed & corrupt in favour of still protecting homophobic police conduct & practises like those experienced by Gay people in Cornwall.

Where even the IPCC ADMIT they ignore & do not interview witnesses against the police.(I have the unabridged IPCC admission of NOT interviewing x14 witnesses, ignoring a tape recording of DC Scott participating in the blackmail of a homeless gay youth & the IPCC worthless final report!)

NO HONESTY, NO INTEGRITY, NO IMPARTIALITY & NO TRANSPARENCY of conduct still by Cornwall Police, when it comes to their attitude & practises against & towards gay people.

2009 Cornwall Police are still the enemy of gay people everywhere, not to be trusted whilst the above named are still serving Cornwall police officers!

Cornwall gay suicides (continued)

A member of the Cornwall Police visited yesterday the former x-partner of the most recently deceased gay male suicide in Cornwall. (See yesterdays Pink Pasty blog regarding Four gay male suicides in Cornwall in 2008)

Cornwall police have (theoretically) promised action on a numer of issues raised by the former x-partner of the deceased man, (a bit late now his former x-partner is dead! I for one will not be holding my breathe that Cornwall police will do anything about the problems within their own systems regarding negative attitudes towards gay persons. Why change the police habits of a lifetime?).

Funny how the Cornwall police promise??? action regarding civilian acts of homophobia, but do FUCK ALL about the homophobic attitudes & practises of existing & serving Cornwall police officers like DC Magnus Scott, DC Anning, DC Parker, Inspector Bolt, Inspector Eastern, PC Tar & colleague, PC Alexander & Colleague, PC Treloar, PC Fuller, Sergent Rowe, etc. etc. etc. all of whom by their actions against & towards gay persons and who by their homophobic attitudes & practises have caused myself & others so much misery trauma & pain.

Meanwhile the Cornwall Police Authority (or as one friend questioned, should that read 'Free Mason's lodge'?) will continue to ignore regular reports sent to them in writing regarding abuses carried out by Cornwall police.

Meanwhile Cornwall LGBT PACT will continue to pretend to be interested in gay issues but exclude & ostracise gay persons who dare critise & raise the facts that they as gay persons HAVE been abused, violated & traumatised by abusive conduct & actions of Cornwall police officers (like the abuses carried out by those police officers named above)

As long as the above named Cornwall police officers are serving members of the Devon & Cornwall Constabulary, I sincerely believe NO gay person is truly safe from the protectionist attitude of Devon & Cornwall Constabulary towards those serving within their police force who exercise homophobc attitudes & practises. Police officers who in my personal experience harbour & exercise homophobic attitudes & practises against & towards gay persons like that experienced and observed in the last few years.

Meanwhile the Intercom Trust will continue to isolate & exclude gay persons who have direct & personal experience of abuses carried out by the Devon & Cornwall Constabulary.

2009 and in Cornwall, with police officers like those I have named above...we still have a Cornwall police force which simply does not take homophobc HATE CRIME seriously...in fact it is clear to me that there is considerable empathy by Cornwall police senior officers towards those who DO carry out homophobic abuses against gay persons by their senior police management complete lack of action to deal with those within their own rank & file.

So how many gay men will die in Cornwall this year in 2009 in which the Cornwall police will have continued to have played a sinister part?

Those nice people? at Intercom Trust can simply continue to look the other way when its their mates in the Devon & Cornwall plod carrying out homophobic abuses!

Cornwall police continue to persue a dead gay man!

On the 19th the December 2008 we buried the latest gay suicide victim in Cornwall

There was direct Cornwall police involvement leading up to his suicide.

Thats bad enough

After Christmas his former partner recieved a letter (I have read it) from the police dated 30th December inforing the former x-partner, of the Cornwall police intention to prosecute his...dead x-partner.

How Cornwall police could be so insensative and intend to prosecute an urn of the deceased mans ashes I'm not entirely sure?

The traumatic letter from ironically the 'witness care unit', (that has to be the irony of ironys), since many of us already know there is precious little care or concern exercised by Cornwall police towards gay persons, in particular as in my own experience if the gay person is a victim of crime.

My own experience & observation is that Cornwall police empathise with those who commit crime against gay persons.

So here we have yet another example of Cornwall police continuing their homophobic attitudes & practises and still continue even beyond the grave it would seem.
