British Home Office condemns to death???

Dear British Home Office: This is what happens to gays in Iran!

Two Iranian teenagers hung for being GAY!

Friends:

The effort to save this boy madhi kazemi, the 19yr old gay Iranian BRITAIN wants to send back to almost certain torture & death, has been organized in England by a very few people who have literally been working round-the-clock and in disregard of their own health. As you may imagine, not all details have been ironed out in the smoothest manner, of course.

Among the details has been the donation process. Thought the paypal method I included in yesterday's circular should work, I received today the following link that has been set up especially for this cause. There is a pressing need here. A donation not only helps fund the appeal process, it makes a statement to the British Home Office that the world is watching and we will not allow gay kids to be the latter day "Ann Franks" - fine in Iran as long as, in the Home Office's bland phrase, "they keep a low profile," or hide in the attic, in other words. Of course, in Mahdi's case, even that limited option is foreclosed now that his case has achieved wide attention and an arrest warrant awaits him in Teheran.

Mahdi is our brother. He has confronted the evil president of Iran in an on-line blog headlined "Mr. President, I AM a Gay Iraninan." Under the circumstances, his courage is breathtaking. No person, young or old, deserves the fate that awaits Mahdi but this boy in particular is too fine, too brave and too valuable for us to stand by and do nothing.
